The Biggest game on 2011 (2 days to Vegas)

It's been a long time since you released news about 2 Days to Vegas ...
We made a substantial progress during 08, especially in AI and graphics. Sure, we know people have been waiting for the game, but please keep in mind that our task was by no means an easy one - we had to build up a studio and develop all necessary next generation technology simultaneously with developing this gigantic title.

As of now the tech is near complete and we are molding gameplay elements together. The gain for the pain is obvious - 2Days to Vegas will be very unique title, that certainly will stand apart from anything the players already got used to.

How long have you been working on 2 Days to Vegas? Please explain the name.
The game has been in development for more than 3 years now, the amount of art we are putting into the game is insane. We were playing with the idea of dynamic realistic world drawing in the player, making the player to buy into the characters, their feelings and motivations. We understood, that the best way to keep the player's attention is to introduce the travel element into the game. In such way the idea of having the main character to zip across US to turn the tables in the conflict between powerful forces was born. 2 Days to Vegas is not just the name, that is the goal.

2 Days to Vegas is often called a Grand Theft Auto-Killer...
We never positioned 2DTV against GTA series as, for example, Saints Row did.

What about a multiplayer-mode?
The story line and the game design are tailored for single-player mode only.

Please tell us about the story ...
The story is the most precious gem that we are working to sell to the player. By telling it we will be depriving people from the thrill of learning what is going to happen. We can only say that we are not tailoring the game around one-two key features, which is so common these days. A lot of times midgame the player feels that he had learned everything and there is no point of continuing except for mental checkmark "I completed that game". Also we are not trying to sell the game through "supernextgeneration" technologies, we try to aim for emotional attachment from the player. We want the player to have fun until that "Game end" screen.

That sounds like Open-World ...
We realize that players like having freedom about how they play. But we are not doing a sandbox game, the main character is forced to act through circumstances he cannot control and the game is about thrill, speed and action. No, you wont be able to take your ingame girlfriend for the grandma's evening cake or chat on the internet...But you do get to save your ingame brother, if you are a good shot and skilled driver.

Please tell us about the technologies you are using for 2 Days to Vegas.
We have a proprietary engine we have been developing simultaneously with the title, so we promise a totally unique feel to the title. [...] We are using Direct X 9 on this project. [...] We are not planning very serious differences between the versions at this moment.[...] The game will be the best on Quad CPU with 4GB of RAM and GForce GTX 280 or equivalent graphics card. As minimum we recommend an Intel Core2Duo in combination with a GeForce 8600 GTS and 2 GB-RAM.

Final question: When will 2 Days to Vegas hit the stores?
We are in negotiations at this point so we cannot really give you a release date - it does not depend on ourselves only. The times are tough for the whole industry, but as soon as we have some news we shall make an announcement.
